I'm translating instructions into Italian regarding traffic infringements. It was meant to be proofing but there you go; it won't happen again.
I'm wavering between 'voi' and 'lei'. Using 'si' isn't always possible. Italian sites use both/either or even a mixture.
I'd appreciate some guidance please.

Voi/Lei Jul 24, 2009

Hi Susanna.
It's always best to use the impersonal form in instructions, but as you say it's not always possible, I'd opt for the "Lei" form, as "Voi" is used as a polite formonly if you're actually speaking to several people.
I hope I answered your question If you posted a short sample of what you're translating I could give you a better opinion though!
