I am unable to create a Tag corresponding to a hard space (ASCII code 167 or Ctl+Shift+SPACE). When I press on the corresponding symbol (°) on the Tagbar, nothing happens even though the button is activated.
When I go into Tools - Customize Tagbar, I cannot get through the definition process. Any suggestions are welcome.

Deactivate the TAG protection

Only if you are working with Word or Excel files this is not necessary. For other formats, where a real TAG must be inserted, you need to deactivate the TAG protection.
When you wish to work efficiently with Tageditor and know the meaning and importance of TAGs you can also deactivate the document protection. If you deactivate TAG protection and document protection you will still get warnings, when TAGs are missing or inserted. You only need to pay a bit more attention to how are you treating the file in Tageditor.
