Hi David,

If you open your text-format translation memory in a word processor, you will see something like this:

angle bracket RTF Preamble angle bracket
angle bracket FontTable angle bracket
{\fonttbl
{\f1 \fmodern\fprq1 \fcharset0 Courier New;}

and the list continues with all the fonts available.

However in your shoes, I'd take Jerzy's advice and buy a new machine, even if it means dipping into the piggy bank. Your blood pressure will thank you and you'll soon get the money back in extra earnings because you won't be wasting time on irritating little hardware problems!

The fNN statements is what you have to look at.

I used [and ] instead of smaller and bigger signs. Note I have just 76 fonts mentioned - and that's probably 70 too many anyhow)

I have bought a new computer! May 5, 2006

Thanks a million, jerszy. This is really useful help, which i shall keep on file. For the moment, though, i've followed the consensus and bought a new computer. It's really beautiful, slim, black and shiny! Thanks for all your help, and that goes for everyone on the thread!

Have fun with your new one.
But keep in mind - in five years it will be an old one, at the latest

PCs are changing very quickly. One shall consider buying a new one every three to five years IMO. TBH I do this every two years recently...
