Use one program only. Say, Trados 2007. You'll solve your problem. | | | Iouri Bibikov Local time: 15:06 Mitglied (2002) Französisch > Russisch + ... THEMENSTARTER
Thank you, but I know this thread. I omit to say that I'm under SP3, no Asian languages checked, Microsoft patch not applicable, memory tool check does not detect any problem. | | | Iouri Bibikov Local time: 15:06 Mitglied (2002) Französisch > Russisch + ... THEMENSTARTER

Whilst I cannot offer you any assistance, Iouri, I will certainly be interested in any solutions because, when I tried to open Trados 2007 on Friday, I received the same RunTime message as you and have been unable to open it since then! Fortunately, I do not need to use Trados 2007 very much as I much prefer using Studio 2009 and don't tend to get much call for Trados 2007 "unclean" files these days. Having said that, it will be very useful to be able to use the 2007 version again ... since Paul has been experiencing the same issue recently, sure no virus is involved? EDIT, second hypothesis: is an SLD update (or similar) involved? When I launched Studio 2009 a few days ago, the program asked for the license. I had to reinstall it. I just checked with Trados 2007 (which seems to work just fine), and with Workbench (which asked for the license as well). [Edited at 2013-03-03 14:16 GMT] No viruses, sure. Scanned once again with Kaspersky installed and Norton Secure online. Studio is under SP2. No problems. Licences were never asked for after the first installation. Now, it goes simply not forward enough to involve licences problem. I'm crying...

See more So, that's it! It took me exactly 9 days and 2 nights to search. So read me carefully, all of the community who have this or similar problem. I began to search what can alter the installation in a near past. I started by sorting Program Files subfolders by date. Nothing suspicious. Then I went into Windows folder and sorted its subfolders by date as well. And I saw that the Installer folder is near the beginning of the list. Strange. I opened it and saw at the very first position a registry key folder named {69C76448-D4B8-4886-A848-61CD4EB4B2C7}. Inside it, were some files which apparently belong to Trados, as well as two executables, that was confirmed by Trados icons near their names. Strange again. As it could not be viruses, I launched the file ARPPRODUCTICON.exe simply to see what will happen, and had an error message: TwsControls.ocx or one of its components are not registered correctly or altered. I know that this file is included in the Selfregister.bat files in both versions. I tried to re-register it manually by typing "reg import TwsControls.ocx ". Windows reported that the file was successfully registered. AND AFTER THAT BOTH TRADOS VERSIONS WORK LIKE BEFORE!!!!! So if you have a similar problem, try to repeat these steps. I'm grateful to all of you who tried to help me - if now I can help you, I shall be happy twice!
