Dear staff, Out of sheer curiosity, I'd be interested to know how often the new "track answerer" function which there was a heated discussion about some weeks ago is actually used. Could you give us some insight about the statistics: - How many requests to track an individual answerer were made? - How many of those were accepted or declined? - How many people chose to accept or decline all requests, or to decide on a case-to-case basis? See more Dear staff, Out of sheer curiosity, I'd be interested to know how often the new "track answerer" function which there was a heated discussion about some weeks ago is actually used. Could you give us some insight about the statistics: - How many requests to track an individual answerer were made? - How many of those were accepted or declined? - How many people chose to accept or decline all requests, or to decide on a case-to-case basis? The reason for my question is, as I said, curiosity, but it might also make the earlier discussion appear in a different light ... It caused quite a storm few weeks ago, so it may be interesting to see if all the fuss was somehow justified. G

However I visit KudoZ several times a day and I follow all interesting me answers so I am pretty much aware of answers given by my colleagues. S PS: after seeing this thread I realized that this function exists and I spent some 15 minutes reading old posts regarding it but so far I have no clue how I could possibly benefit by using it???

Dear Stanislaw and Kevin, thanks for your contributions (I don't use the function either). I think I should have been clearer in my initial post, though: With my question, I was hoping to get information from staff about the statistics, in order to get a view of the whole picture, rather than individual feedback (though this is of course interesting as well). Sorry for the confusion. Best regards, Erik | | | Aniello Scognamiglio (X) Germany Local time: 06:48 English to German + ... Service request | Jul 2, 2009 |
Hi Erik, there was no confusion at all, but if you want a response from staff, I think it will be better to submit a service request. Personally, I am not interested in this superflous feature. I was wondering too... | Jul 2, 2009 |
... just the other day efreitag wrote: - How many requests to track an individual answerer were made? - How many of those were accepted or declined? - How many people chose to accept or decline all requests, or to decide on a case-to-case basis? .... and I also wondered how many people had started using it, and subsequently stopped, in either sense, as the tracker or the trackee (i.e. stopped allowing people to track them). | | | Erik Freitag Germany Local time: 06:48 Member (2006) Dutch to German + ... Just FYI: I have sent a support ticket yesterday. Best regards, Erik
As far as I can remember, I have never tracked anyone. It is probably one of the least useful features in Kudoz, whereas other features requested several times by a lot of people (e.g. leader list optionally listed by acceptance level) are completely ignored. It is easy to feel discouraged about Kudoz! | | | Initial numbers on the choice to track | Jul 3, 2009 |
Hello all, At the moment, 171 people have chosen to use the track feature to track answerers, while 187 answerers are being tracked. Best regards, Jared

Best regards, Jared Dear Jared, thanks a lot for you reply! Can you also say something about the number of declined requests? Kind regards, Erik | | | Declined requests | Jul 3, 2009 |
Hi Erik, Sure. 19 requests have been declined. Of those, 4 were declined requests staff made in testing. So 15.
