Temporary authorisation for Trados Memory?

Hello,

Soon, I will be on maternity leave. One of my translation agencies wants my memory for two of their clients, so that another translator can use it and work for this clients while I'm not available.

Is there a chance to create a memory which can only be used for a certain time so I can be sure to work again for the agency after my maternity leave?

...that the Agency can create a TM from your translations?

They can do it, though it takes time... However, they just want you to save them time (and the effort).

My advice: keep the harmony with them. They'll appreciate it.

In Trados Studio, no.
In Trados Workbench, yes but the protection can be easily cracked, AFAIK.

In both programs, you can also set passwords for administrative operations e.g. data import/export.

My wife started to work 5 or 6 days after childbirth.
Slowly, i.e. 2, 3, max. 4 hours daily and, of course with comfortable deadlines
She liked it a lot as a kind of link with a "normal" world...

Creating their own memory Apr 18, 2013

I think it would be a lot of work for the company to create their own memory because I have been working for them for years and the 2 memorys contain each one nearly 20 000 segments.
