Hi All,
I am using the Trados 2007 translators work bench to translate a technical document with many pictures. I am halfway through and all of a sudden it refused to open any new segments. I have pressed the Fix Document button several times but to no avail. Now I can't clean it up and I can't continue translatiing segments. Has anyone else come accross this problem before? Hi All,
I am using the Trados 2007 translators work bench to translate a technical document with many pictures. I am halfway through and all of a sudden it refused to open any new segments. I have pressed the Fix Document button several times but to no avail. Now I can't clean it up and I can't continue translatiing segments. Has anyone else come accross this problem before? There must be a solution that does not involve copying and pasting my translation into a new document. I can't believe how much this stupid tool costs and how much time we waste getting it to work all so the client or the agency can get a discount. Head to desk moment!

Use the "Normal view" instead of the "diseño de impresión" (don't know the English term).
Let me know if it helped.

It Works!

Oh my goodness, thanks so much. This problem has meant that when I have a text with many pictures I can't even use Trados, which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place. I changed the view from diseño de impresión to diseño web (I didn't see a diseño normal or normal view, so I went with this option). Now it seems to be working. Again, I can't thank you enough, hopefully now I can finish my translation.

You can always work with TTX (TagEditor). Much easier when many pictures on the file.

Or use draft view
Jul 19, 2012
I do practically all my translations in Suite 2007 TWB, and I have found that working in 'draft' mode solves lots of problems. However, in draft mode you don't see unprocessable figures, which may contain text that needs translating outside the document (I do these in separate Word files in simple, bilingual tables). Headers and footers are also invisible, but both issues are easily fixed during the proofreading phase, which I do in print view.
