1997 - 2000: I have been employed as an interpreter attached to the Split Detachment of thr Royal Military Police. In 2000 I perfomed the duties of Chief Clerk for the detachment and also became the interpreter for the Officer In Command of the Detachment.
As the interpreter for the OIC I was responsable for attending all regular meetings with the Croatian authorities and had to be fully conversant with major issues. At times these meetings were at very high level handling matters of interest to the British Embassy in Zagreb. Also, during a particulary high profile case, described by Commander SFOR as the most serious case in Croatia that year,I interpreted on behalf of Lt.Col.Boyd, CO 6 RMP during a two hour meeting with Croatian police Officers.
On daily basis my responsabilities included the translation of complicated police documents and statements, translating at police incidents and attending police confereces.
1994 - 1996: I have been employed as UN Garrison Commander secretary/interpreter. I had to liaise with the office of Croatian goverment representatives in Split and act as interpreter for Commander at meetings with goverment authorities.
