Definitivamente sempre amei o surfe. Com esse
esporte conheci Deus, e a prancha de surfe seria o
instrumento a me aproximar Dele e a me trazer a
Uma onda gigante me faz sentir o quanto
Translation - Portuguese The hands of God
How is it possible that a guy who grew up far from the ocean became a professional BIG
WAVE SURFER? Someone who was almost inexperienced going straight to Nazaré, Portugal, to
defy the biggest and most dangerous wave in the world, and becoming one of the greatests big
wave surfers of all times, in just ten months of training?
The explanation can only be faith. Having faith and motivation that there's a bigger
purpose, and believing anything is possible.
I've always loved surfing, that's for sure. It was because of it that I met God, and the surf
board was the instrument for me to get closer to Him and bring me salvation.
When surf got into my life, I wanted to go to Indonesia to surf the hot waters and perfect
waves... for me it was a place that had a certain "surf vibe".
It was never my dream to be catching waves in ice cold waters and to be there freezing,
facing the danger of the big waves, which are really bad to surf in and can potentially end a
surfer's life.
It could only have been God's work, I'm sure He put an uncontrollable desire in my heart,
and the unique certainty that surfing big waves was my purpose. Surfing big waves makes me feel
how powerless I am before His strenght. After facing the giant waves of Nazaré I understood why I
went through everything I did in life.
Now I'm going to tell you everything I experienced until the point where I got to meet God
and became a surfer in Nazaré, which lead to me being honored in Portugal and being on the news
all over the world - through television channels, newspapers, magazines, websites and all kinds of
media -, building an eternal legacy and showing what God can do in someone's life.
