I graduated as a Technician in Food Chemistry and as a Teacher of Physics and Astronomy in a Pedagogical Institute in Havana, Cuba. I also have a university degree in Information Technology. I was a teacher at the University of Havana, teaching Higher Mathematics for 5 years.
I have been translating in Canada English/Spanish since 2001, mostly legal documents, contracts, transcripts, affidavits and other type of documents (Spanish to English or English to Spanish) accepted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Driver's License Registries and other government bodies.
I have subtitled movies and video clips using different pieces of software, and also worked in the sync of the subtitling process. (DVDLabPRo, PowerDirector, Premiere from Adobe, SubtitleEdit...)
I worked as a Director of a Unit for the Processing and Analysis of Scientific and Technical Information for the Mechanical Industry in Havana, Cuba.Besides analyzing information I translated them from English to Spanish on the following fields:
-Heating and Refrigeration Systems.
-Processes of heat transfer.
-Fluid mechanics.
-Food processing and conservation.
-Mathematical and statistical procedures.
-Marketing and Business Intelligence Systems.
