As a native German, born and raised in the Frankfurt area, I have spent the past 20 years living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. So English has become very "native" to me in the meantime.
After attending a foreign language business school in Germany specializing in English and French, I completed my University of Cambridge First Certificate in English during a half a year stay in Dublin, Ireland.
Although I am not a certified translator, I have gained plenty of experience over the past 25 years.
While living in Germany, I gathered valuable work experience in varied business sectors as an administrative professional. I worked with a patent law firm, a bank, an engineering office, a computer product company, a PR company in charge of the entertainment program at the Bundesgartenschau (abbr. BUGA), which is the biennial National Garden show in Germany, an advertising agency and, at last, an American automotive supplier, always offering excellent communication skills in English and German.
Since my move to the US 20 years ago, I have worked for a language school as translator and German tutor, and eventually decided to become a freelance translator.
I pay attention to details, meet deadlines and work with a high level of multicultural awareness and adaptability.
