Italian term

... ad immagine e somiglianza

Italian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Character narration
I have grouped this as one term as I am having trouble distinguishing the two nouns for target text.

The narrator, who is a comic strip writer, is viewing himself as a creation of something within him that wanted to be a writer.

Quello che mi preoccupava era quale sarebbe stata la mia descrizione all’inizio del libro, essendo stato pensato ad immagine e somiglianza del creatore.

See verse 27

27 So God created humankind in his image, in the likeness of God he created him, male and female he created them.

agree philgoddard : It may be the bible, but it's still a tautology :-) Just one or the other would do.//Actually I don't think it is a biblical reference. The creatore is the artist.

Grammatically I agree, but in the context the writer is talking about the "creator" so is pretty clearly making a Biblical ref, so I think keeping both is appropriate to maintain the same tone in English//Clearly, God=artist=creator, the text equates them
