Many thanks!

rolled
this is the usual translation for this term. Apparently also used in ancient times, for example:
"The arms are separate from the body and emphasize the dynamism of the hunting pharaoh: in his right hand he is gripping the long spear whilst in his left he is holding a rope in rolled bronze"

"Wire, at least in Europe, was never made by " drawing ",
Gold and bronze wire of a round section might be made
by hammering out a rod of the metal and then rolling it
to round off the edges."

the alternative would be "beaten"
