Even the person who wrote that paragraph realises that there is a difference between ‘αφηρημένη’ and ‘αναιτιώδης’, and I therefore consider that you are incorrect to translate ‘αναιτιώδης αναγνώριση χρέους’ as ‘abstract acknowledgement of debt’ just because some tax official regards the words to be somewhat synonymous in his particular situation.
