German term

mikrobiologische Beherrschbarkeit

German to English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) Microbiology/biomedical engineering
Context:

Wird das Medizinprodukt steril geliefert, oder soll es vom Anwender sterilisiert werden oder sind andere Verfahren der mikrobiologischen Beherrschbarkeit anwendbar?

I'm thinking along the lines of:

Is the medical device delivered in a sterile condition, or does it need to be sterilised by the user, or are any other microbiological methods applicable?
or
Is the medical device delivered in a sterile condition, or does it need to be sterilised by the user, or can any other microbiological methods be used?

agree Colin Rowe : The same answer I was trying to find support for. Seems highly plausible.

agree Marga Shaw

agree Dr. Johanna Schmitt : I was also thinking along the same line - "microbiological methods", as in David's suggestion, may also include methods for cultivating microorganisms, and this is not the meaning here.

agree Lirka : with johanna; defiitely need "control"
