Dutch term
Loonverpakking
Dutch to English
Bus/Financial
Manufacturing
This word appears on a document I am translating at this moment. It's not part of a sentence. It's a heading for a section that states a list of different medicines/drugs. I tried googling the word, cannot come up with anything. Does not come up in the dictionaries that I have. It appears to be a term used In Belgium.
Any help you can provide, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed

packing hire services
Means the same as Liane's but I think this makes it clearer that it is a personnel cost for a hired-in service, as opposed to some kind of fancy wrapping material!

If you google contract packaging you will find that most firms engaged in that discipline either call themselves contract packers or add the word "services" or "functions". Even the website sited by writeaway uses these modifiers to distinguish the people from the products.

: A contract packager is a company that performs a service (packaging of goods) under contract to another company. Also, I see >35k hits for "contract packaging" and around 6k for "contract packing". How did you conclude that 'most contract packagers...'?

Read half a dozen representative sites. You will see that they refer to themselves as packagers or packaging services.

contract packaging services
Addition of the word services to distinguish from products. There is no provision to delete my previous answer and substitute this one. It is essentially lianne's answer but I feel the word services is needed.

: dat zou een "loonverpakkingsbedrijf" zijn (zie google). Loonverpakking/contract packaging is fine.
