potato scoop

Bij Williams Sonoma verkopen ze dit:
Double Melon Scoop (werkt ook met aardappelen)

Use this efficient tool to cut melons into uniform spheres for attractive presentation. It works equally well with other firm fruits and vegetables, from pineapples to potatoes. The stainless-steel scoops at either end of the textured plastic handle let you create 1" and 1 1/4" diam. balls. Dishwasher safe. 7 3/4" long blade. Made in France.

potato/melon baller

melon baller seems to be more commonly used than potato baller, although it is in fact the same device.

Then there was the potato baller. They call it a melon baller
today, but some time ago it was a potato baller, and I don't know
that anyone even thought about serving little itsy-bitsy balls of
melon. Balling potatoes was fancy enough and reserved for special
dishes liked balled potato and fresh peas.
