Specifications of structural steel profiles
A building material specification from the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) "Acero (S275) LDL 200x35x5 (LDL)". I know that acero S275 is a structural steel but not LDL with respect to the dimensions (?). Thanks.

Unequal Angle
Unequal Angle or Unequal Leg Angle - some suppliers call it one and some call it the other.
See the discussion box above for more details. I found another reference that refers to LDL 250x150x10 in a diagram and then has a bit of an explanation where it says that these are 'perfiles LD' - which in Spanish are 'Lados Desiguales' profile bar and in English are called Unequal Angle or Unequal Leg Angle. The reference is found here and the drawing is top left of page E10 which is page 12 of 13 of the PDF.

Unequal angle - https://www.metalsupplies.com/products/stainless-steel-angle...
Unequal leg angle https://www.millstockstainless.com/images/product_pdfs/stain...
(the dimensions of T bar are also written AxBxC so the 'extra' L in LDL may be to distinguish the LD profile with L and LD with profile T. See https://www.metalsupplies.com/products/stainless-steel-tee-b...

HLDL
Declined
I think LDL unit of measurement for hardness, not dimensions. The "Instrucciones de uso Medidor de dureza para metales PCE-2500" talk about "dureza Leeb usado con dispositivo de impacto DL" The Leeb Rebound Hardness Test (LRHT) is on Wikipedia and according to the info there, the term would translate as HLDL.
Note from asker:
Thanks Tristan, that's absolutely right. |
The first or last L would refer to the profile ("L" profile), I assume. However, I Althea has a more likely explanation: see her discussion entry above. |

: I don't understand this. I assume you're saying DL is "dureza Leeb", but what's the first L?

CC 350x150x10 (CC)
LDL 250x150x10 (LDL) (as in your document)
2xUPN 300(][) (UPN)
2xL 70 x 70 x 6(T) (L)
Are these not references to steel beam sections?
CC - C channel (canal C in Spanish)
UPN - European Standard tapered flange channel
T - T profile
L - L profile (angle profiles)
Unfortunately, I can't figure out what LDL is!
