i believe this is a little piece of cocaine or hashish, but i'm not exactly sure what it is or what it is called in english. anyway, it is from a document about different types of illegal drug use.

Yes, a little plug of dope, similar to the little stone of the same name ("tengo una china en el zapato"). This is a very small quantity taken off a block of cannabis resin, normally around the size of a medium sized chickpea (uncooked!!)
Problem is that in English the stuff is normally sold by weight, normally in divisions of ounces. "an ounce of resin costs an average of £43" http://www.beyondshops.co.uk/cannabis-news/?cath=8
And that is as far as I can get, even with the help of Google. Afraid all my friends have recently become very proper and don't do this kind of vocabulary!
