Hi Jane Thanks for the insight, yes this does include security elements, apartment block intercom/lighting systems, etc. I'm having to piece things together as all I've got access to is a large collection of bits with no overarching context.

Is this is a security system? alarms and sensors, etc? I think 'filare' may refer to the 'wired' part of the set-up, as opposed to what is wireless and radio/remote controlled. this site has a whole lot of manuals in both IT and EN:

'filare' is the key for me on this, as I also have 'automazione filare' and 'antifurto filare', neither of which I'm sure about.
