There are undoubtedly other ways to say this, but there is no doubt what it is. I do my own accounts. Five or six times a year I fill in and send an F24 form to pay my VAT, IRPEF (income tax), IRAP (local) production tax, etc.
With tax deducted at sourcce and maybe with miscalculations it sometimes happens that you pay too much and you have a credit on for example your VAT. This VAT credit can be used on the F24 form to pay your income tax and vive versa. This is what this refers to.
