hydraulic cups
Believe it or not!
From a Maserati description:
The Spyder features a new 4,244cc, normally-aspirated engine, designed in lightweight alloy, with 8 cylinders in 90° V, crankcase and cylinder heads in hardened aluminium silicone alloy, crankshaft in forged, refined steel, timing gear with two chain-driven overhead cams per bank, and four valves per cylinder, driven by hydraulic cups.

A rocker arm is called a \"bilanciere\" in Italian.
Here\'s what Maserati\'s OWN UK-BASED SITE has to say:
The engine\'s crankcase and cylinder heads are made in aluminium and silicone, crankshaft is refined forged steel, and the five wide-diameter bench supports with thin bearings. Distribution is by two bench test chain-driven camshafts: four valves per cylinder controlled by hydraulic cups.
