Dutch term

rubberingestrooid

Alvast bedankt,
Maria

Turf is normally the name given to grass which forms matts of grass.

e.g for playing fields, lawns, sports pitches.

The most well known being AstroTurf.

Turf is a recognised term for such surfaces - I would avoid using the word \"grass\"

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : Check this website, where they give a pretty good explanation of the different types of turf. They call it 'rubber infill turf': http://www.yukonsoccer.yk.ca/indoor_centre/what.html

agree AllisonK (X) : be careful though - you might get slammed for calling it astroturf (I did!) ;0
