Una decina di giorni fa su ProZ è comparsa un\'offerta di lavoro per uno script cinematografico. Ho risposto e mi è stata invata la prova di traduzione, che ho eseguito tutta contenta, visto che si trattava \"solo\" di circa duecento parole: tutto regolare, anche se mi aveva un po\' insospettito l\'indirizzo e-mail (hotmail) dell\'agenzia e il fatto di non riuscire a trovare il nome dell\'agenzia in internet. Ma sono ottimista per natura e ho voluto fidarmi.

Ora si è aperta una mini inchiesta su Langit: da un confronto con gli altri colleghi che hanno partecipato al bid e hanno ricevuto la prova di traduzione, risulta che le prove sono tutte diverse...
Che fare?

ieri ho pubblicato un messaggio in inglese nel campo \"suggerimenti\" proponendo di obbligare i job posters a \"pubblicare\" nel posting stesso l\'eventuale paragrafo da farsi tradurre per prova a tutti i bidders, visto appunto che già in altri forums, ma anche in diverse mailing lists, ci si lamenta del fatto che qualcuno riesca o per lo meno tenti di avere un testo tradotto gratis distribuendo fra tutti quelli che si propongono porzioni diverse dello stesso t... Hey, I have just received a test too. I had previously received a request for translation of a \"Dr. Zhivago\" script from [email protected], but I refused as he tried to sqeeze an half price fee.
It seems to me that the content of this test could be consistent with that of Dr. Zhivago.
Two circumstances also look highly suspicious:

1 their email address is @hotmail.com and they do not provide any other hint
2 The name of the test file reads GDR_58.doc
I have two very important question for those among my colleagues who have also received a Test for script translation:
(A)
Is there another translator with the same test? (name file GDR_58.doc, starting with the words “58. INT. STEINER’S PRIVATE”)
(B)
Did you receive files with similar names, but different numbers in them (i.e. GDR_53.doc)
(C)
Has anybody reveiced a file named (i.e. GDR_64.doc). This is important becouse my test ends at scene 63.

Hi Luca,
I received the ScripTranslationsas\' test but of course didn\'t do it.
The very first paragraph reads:
\"91. INT. SVENTITSKYS\' PARTY. NIGHT. 91.
Another big house: room for a dozen couples to be waltzing to a three-piece orchestra, everything looking very festive (it\'s a Christmas party).\"
The .doc file is named STJ90.

and it inclused scenes 38-39-40-41
as mentioned in the other thread, I left it untouched.
Although a little naughty idea is just surfacing... how about sending in completely wild translations? just to waste the time of people who don\'t think twice about wasting and taking advantage of ours...

Let\'s have a little revenge! I will forward my test immediatly just copying and pasting some text in their formatted document.
AH AH AH AH AH!
A pity they do use a hotmail address (with automatic virus scanning...), otherwise I would send them a very tricky attachement...

anzi, per esagerare, ho richiesto l\'invio di un nuovo test, e se me lo mandano (e con le decinaia di polli che, come me, già ci erano cascati, sfido che ricordino a chi hanno inviato il test e a chi no...) vedrò di divertirmi un po\'...
A proposito: questo sarebbe davvero il caso in cui i traduttori PAGANO per fare un test di prova, o meglio, per fare una traduzione (in termini di BrowniZ o di dollari...  )

Quanto alla proposta di Roberta sull\'altro forum, domani scriverò all\'agenzia ceca (skrivanek, citatata anche da Luca Tutino). Domani, perchè mi pare abbia un\'aria più professionale scrivere di lunedì anziché di domenica. O no?
