help: export Passolo files to 2 columns

Hi all,

are there anyway to export passolo files to 2 columns for translation phase and imoprt them back with easy way ?

Hello,

Yes, using the fully licensed version you can use the customizable text export to create a CSV file.

And can you then import the modified CSV file again?

Hello Samuel,

Yes, the customizable text export is a function that allows export AND import. To be able to import back a translated CSV file it is important to correctly configure the export. Excel is quite rude with delimiters and quoting and sometimes damages the files. Users should use Unicode encoding and the tab character as the delimiter.

Could you please provide more details on using the export/import feature in Passolo 2016 Translator Edition?

The free Translator Editions don't have export/import functions. These free versions should be used to translate in context by visualizing the software UI. If that is not available in your case please ask your project manager to provide other file formats as the main version is also able to export/import SDLXLIFF instead of Passolo translation bundles
