engleski na srpski: Top 10 Unlocked Phones General field: Tehnika/inženjerstvo Detailed field: Telekomunikacije
Izvorni tekst - engleski In the market for a new cell phone, but unimpressed with the models your GSM carrier offers? Then consider buying an unlocked phone - a GSM phone not tied to a carrier. Such GSM phones may cost a bit more up front, but they can save you a bundle in the long run. Unlocked phones don’t work on CDMA-based networks, like those operat¬ed by Sprint and Verizon, so, effectively, you must use AT
engleski na srpski: Understanding and Configuring IP General field: Tehnika/inženjerstvo Detailed field: Računari: sistemi, mreže
Izvorni tekst - engleski The Ipconfig command is the most basic tool in the network administrator’s troubleshooting toolbox. If you are helping a user who cannot connect to the Internet, for example, typing ipconfig at a com-mand prompt would most likely be the first thing you’d do to find out whether the computer is as-signed a valid address. The output of Ipconfig has remained the same since Windows NT, and if you’ve been working as a network support specialist, you’d never expect to see anything unusual when you type this basic command.
However, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 now provide IPv6 information along with the traditional IPv4 information in the Ipconfig output. This might not sound like a big deal, but IPv6 can look pretty scary if you’re not familiar with it, and the last thing you want is to be in a position where a user can detect fear on your face when you’re troubleshooting his or her computer.
You might even be tempted to disable IPv6 to avoid exposing your ignorance and—ironically—to prevent it from “slowing down the network” (which it doesn’t ever do). It’s true that IPv6 isn’t needed today, but despite any inclination we might have to live in IPv6 denial, there’s no question that it will be used more and more in the coming years. There’s just no avoiding it because there is no other solution proposed to deal with the problem of IPv4 address exhaustion, and that problem isn’t going to disappear. IPv6 isn’t intruding into your Windows networking life because you need it now but because you will need it soon, and for that reason, you need to start getting comfortable with it now. The good news is that there isn’t much you need to know before you can once again read the complete Ipconfig output with complete confidence.
Međutim, Windows Vista i Windows Server 2008 sada pored tradicionalnih informacija o IPv4 daju i informacije o IPv6 u rezultatu izvršavanja komande Ipconfig.
