English to Creoles & Pidgins (French-based Other): Haiti, a country worth exploring
Source text - English Haiti, a country worth exploring
Located in the Caribbean, Haiti is a beautiful country known for its stunning beaches, vibrant culture and rich history. The country has a diverse landscape that includes mountains, forests, and coastal plains. The Haitian people are warm and welcoming, and their music, art and cuisine are celebrated around the world.
One of the most popular destinations in Haiti is Labadee, a private resort located on the northern coast. This resort offers visitors a chance to relax on pristine beaches, swim in crystal clear waters, and participate in a variety of water sports. Another popular destination is the Citadelle Laferrière, a massive stone fortress located on a mountaintop at Milot, near the city of Cap-Haïtien. Built in the early 19th century to protect Haiti from French invaders, this fortress is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition to these attractions, Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti, is a must-see destination for any tourist. The National Museum of Haiti and many other museums, art galleries and historical sites are located in the city. However, it is currently facing unprecedented levels of insecurity that require urgent action. Therefore, anyone who is planning to visit the Haiti’s capital at this time should be aware of the security situation and exercise caution.
Actually, Cap-Haitian may be safer. Mind to go there if you want to enjoy the Haitian culture including its tasty cuisine which is unique in its fusion of African, French, indigenous Taíno, Spanish, and Arab influences that originated in the western part of the island of Hispaniola. Although often grouped with other regional islands as “Caribbean cuisine,” Haitian cuisine has its own distinct flavor characterized by the extensive use of herbs and liberal use of peppers.
Despite its troubled present, Haiti is a fascinating country that is well worth exploring. Whether you’re interested in learning about its rich history or experiencing its natural and cultural beauty, Haiti has something to offer for everyone.
Translation - Creoles & Pidgins (French-based Other) Ayiti, yon peyi ki merite pou moun eksplore
Li se youn nan zile karayib la, Ayiti se yon bèl peyi ki gen bèl plaj, yon kilti vivan ak yon gran istwa. Peyi a gen ladan yon peyizaj varye tankou mòn, forè ak plenn kotyè yo.
Zòn touristik sa a ofri vizitè yo opòtinite pou yo detann yo sou plaj primitif, naje nan dlo kristal klè epi patisipe nan divès kalite espò nan dlo. Yon lòt destinasyon popilè se Sitadèl Laferyè, yon gwo fò an wòch sou tèt yon mòn nan komin Milo, toupre vil Okap.
Men, kounye a li anba gwo tansyon ensekirite li pa te janm konn ladan anvan ki bezwen bon jan aksyon prese prese. Se poutèt sa a, nenpòt moun k ap planifye pou vizite kapital ayisyen an nan moman sa a dwe chèche enfòmasyon sou sitiyasyon sekirite a epi pran prekosyon.
An reyalite, Okap ka pi an sekirite. Panse pou ale vizite l si w vle vle dekouvri kilti ayisyen an, tankou bon jan manje kreyòl ki inik akòz li se melanj resèt manje afriken, fransè, endijèn, tayino, panyòl ak arab ki soti nan pati lwès zile Ispanyola a. Malgre, li souvan nan menm gwoup ak lòt zile rejyonal yo kòm "Kizin Karayib la", manje ayisyen an gen pwòp gou li, se itilizayon anpil epis ak piman dou ki fè sa a.
Menmsi li an boulvès, Ayiti se yon peyi enteresan ki merite pou moun eksplore. Kit ou vle konnen gran istwa li a oswa ou vle dekouvri bote natirèl ak kiltirèl li yo, Ayiti gen yon bagay pou li ofri chak moun.
