Bio
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2007, and as a conference interpreter since 2010.
My working languages are Spanish, French, Russian, and Portuguese, which I translate into my native English.
I live in Washington, DC and translate and interpret regularly for the US Department of State as well as the Organization of American States, Inter-American Development Bank, and International Monetary Fund, among other international organizations within the UN system.
My areas of specialization are law and finance. As a certified court interpreter, I frequently interpret for various court systems and for law firms involved in international proceedings, and from 2016 to 2017 I worked full-time in Cambodia for the UN Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials. I also frequently handle finance for development, international banking, foreign legislation, court records, and reports for major international financial institutions.
I am an active member of both AIIC and TAALS, and have a MA in conference interpreting from ITI-RI Université de Strasbourg. I also have passed the ATA certification test.
