Zamislimo sada PLETENE stolove (od vrbovog pruća ili od SLAME).
Onaj VENAC koji drži sve (3 ili 4 ) noge stola povezane na gornju ploču (svrhovitu ‘radnu’ površinu stola) dobio je IME po MATERIJALU od kojega je napravljen/izrađen.
Dakle, govori se o SPOJNOM VENCU ili nosivom (veznom) okviru stola.

Lično, glasam za VENAC !
Jer sam u detinjstvu čuo da stari stolarski majstori (iz komšiluka i preduzeća pokojnog mi oca) taj deo stola nazivaju VENCEM.
To je bilo u Slavoniji … dakle, dozvoljavam da NISAM u pravu, što se geografsko-jezične lokacije pojma tiče….
Al' sam SASVIM siguran da se u MAČVI taj deo ISTO zvao VENAC.
