is there any software which is BOTH an application-generated PDF converter AND a OCR software converting scanned PDFs?

Not quite sure what you mean by "application-generated PDF converter", but Omnipage reads PDF files.

But Omnipage is capable of converting into PDF as well.

Hi Francesca,

I use ABBYY Finereader 7.0 Professional, which allows you to "read" either documents from your scanner or files that you have on your pc. Therefore this software also reads and recognizes pdf files (the simpler the layout, the better the result you get). Hope this helps!
