Hard to remember free weekends Jul 4, 2021

I spent a large portion of my professional life working with the service industry, no such thing as a weekend lol
Still, I do get some free hours, I tend to enjoy them with the family.

This weekend I had work, just finished it. It was a document about an inventory and distribution of property from someone's estate, PT>EN. Interesting work.

I would work on weekend if necessary. Of course I prefer not working on weekend but sometimes the work just comes and it is urgent, what I do is I will move this time to the normal working timesheet, so I can have the time off I spent on weekend on some day I prefer like Monday or Friday, so I only need to work 4-5 hours on Friday and have a early weekend. But, if you want to do this, you better discuss with your manager, if your manager doesn't prefer this way, you can say "no" to working on we... See more

The burden of a freelancer Jul 7, 2021

Wolves eat as much as they can, because they don't know when the next 'meal' comes along. In a way, this goes also for many of us. What I mean to say, is that as freelancer every day is a working day and/or every day is weekend. In short, it all comes down on how many 'meals' you can catch (= in our case jobs).
