This course consists of a series of four interactive workshops designed to provide participants with a broad knowledge of human anatomy and English medical terminology. The course covers all of the systems of the human body. Course materials include worksheets and a list of prefixes, suffixes and root words commonly found in the medical profession.
This course presents a linguistic theory accounting for the phenomenon of diglossia. In addition, a strategy is presented, which takes diglossia into account, to enable translators to produce high quality, accurate Arabic to English translations.
