Source text - Turkish Mentorluk çok geniş bir alanı kapsadığı ve uygulandığı bağlama göre çeşitlilik gösterdiği için onu tek bir şekilde tanımlamak güçtür. Mentorluk kişinin kendi öğrenme sürecini destekleme yolu şeklinde düşünülebilir. (Løw 2009). Mentorluk; bilgisini, tecrübesini, aklını paylaşmaya hazır bir bireyin, bu değişimi isteyen bir bireyle arasındaki destekleyici ilişkiyi temsil eder. (Faure, 2000) Bu destek ilişkisinde destekleyen kişi mentor; desteklenen kişiyi ise menti olarak tanımlanmıştır.
Translation - English It is difficult to define mentoring since it encompasses a very wide area and differs according to the context it is applied in. Mentoring can be considered as a means of the individual for supporting his/her own learning process. (Løw 2009). Mentoring; represents the supportive relationship between an individual who is ready to share his/her knowledge, experience and wisdom with an individual who wants this change. (Faure, 2000) The supporting individual in this relationship has been defined as the mentor; whereas the supported individual has been defined as mentee.

I have been working as a professional translator for almost 16 years. My English is at native speaker level both in writing and speaking. I am a graduate of the American Collegiate Institute (ACI) in Izmir. I received my undergraduate degree from the Chemical Engineering Department at Ege University after which I completed my graduate study on Physics (M.Sc.) at the University of Akron in Ohio/USA. I worked for 5 years at a corporate company in Turkey as Purchasing Manager and founded my own company. I am also currently continuing my Ph.D. studies in Philosophy at Ege University in Izmir.
I am a very curious and diligent individual with a diverse range of interests from Physics, Engineering to Literature and Philosophy. I am also a professional author in Turkey and have 3 books of short stories published by one of the most prestigious publishing houses in Turkey (YKY).
