cone biopsy
While I'm aware of the neck-cervical connection, this MIGHT be a typo, since a cervical biopsy is usually a "cone biopsy." Less commonly, it can be a "punch biopsy" or a more extensive procedure in rare cases. In other words, a "cervical biopsy" would typically be further specified. (I translated a book on cone biopsies!) In Spanish, it is called as "biopsia de/en cono." If you can check with your author, it might be worth it.
