Joinder of Claims_ Under rules of practice, a party asserting a claim to relief as an original claim, counterclaim, cross claim or third party claim may join as many claims as he has against an opposing party wether they are leal or equitable Fed.R.Civ.P18(a); New york C.P.L.R parag.601.

Counterclaims distinguished "Cross-claims" are litigated by parties on the same side of the main litigation, while "counterclaims" are litigated between opposing parties to the principal action. Resource Engineering, Inc. v. Siler , 94 idaho 935, 500 P. 2d 836, 840 .

Cross-demand- where a person against whom a demand is made by another in his turn makes a deman against that other, these mutual demands are called "cross-demands". A set-off is a familiar example.
