Discussion

Adolfo Fulco Sep 10, 2015:
Some weeks ago... I found a website that deals with models and properties (used for taking pictures to models), and saw that they used the term "release" (as in "Model Release") when referring to the permission the models give the photographer to make use of their images.

Maybe this isn't the case but it might come in handy:

Mario Freitas Sep 10, 2015:
Yes, Adolfo, I was only wondering what this type of agreement would be called, because I know the two names I suggested are to disclose images made by the person and not of that person. But I see the links you provided are good references.
Adolfo Fulco Sep 10, 2015:
UK Sorry, Mario, but I actually found many references that mention the agreement as "Image Release".
For example:
http://www.esc.ac.uk/images/stories/News and Events/Image Re...

Image Release Agreement
"I hereby grant to East Surrey College, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish images of me..."
Mario Freitas Sep 10, 2015:

It could also be "Personal Release Agreement", though in the agreement you'd have to specify what is that you're releasing (photos, videos, etc.). I'd go with "[Option] Release Agreement".

Thanks, Mario! In the third link there's a Google search with the term "Image Release Agreement"; though I believe most of the websites are from the US, and some from the UK.

Licensing Contract to Merchandise Images

Example sentence:

contract to merchandise images

Contract for Commercial Use Of Images

grant the right of publicity

Também conhecido como "personality rights" - veja link.

"The right of publicity, often called personality rights, is the right of an individual to control the commercial use of his or her name, image, likeness, or other unequivocal aspects of one's identity. It is generally considered a property right as opposed to a personal right, and as such, the validity of the right of publicity can survive the death of the individual (to varying degrees depending on the jurisdiction)."
Example sentence:

The right of publicity, often called personality rights, is the right of an individual to control the commercial use of his or her name, image, likeness, or other unequivocal aspects of one's identity.
