not specific We don't need to be too specific as regards the type of training, it's just a general case - which dependents of an employee are covered by a company health scheme, etc. - so training or professional training will be fine.

I'd have thought that (here) it's a training contract, although you'd need to give more info to know if it's something more specific.

neutral Julie Barber : I'd avoid this. I look around and saw that there are refs with this meaning yet always direct translations relating to France. The general meaning in English appears to be different http://www.literacyonline.org/products/ili/webdocs/shah.html

"work/study contract allowing young people [less than 26 years old] to acquire professional qualifications".

(I prefer the work vocational to professional.)
