I found 'vie sociale' to mean 'corporate governance', but I'm not sure if that fits this context. I'm also unsure of how to translate 'De ce que' here to make the first part of the sentence fit with the second clause.

"De ce qu’on appelle pudiquement « la vie sociale » même si la plupart du temps, et pour une grande partie de la planète, ce n’est justement pas une vie, ou à peine. "
