These are basically the same thing, the only difference being that an ankle brace provides a higher level of support and includes more rigid stays for stabilising the ankle. Since your description mentions "moyens de stabilisation", I think it's probably a brace.

On the other hand, ankle braces are often made of more rigid material, whereas this is "en matière textile élastique", so perhaps it's more likely that it refers to a support with some stiffening.
