French term

en/à cru et en/à cuit

French to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
I'm not quite sure what cru and cuit mean here. This document has a part discussing ceramics, which I'm not too familiar with. Could they be, unheated/heated? (facteurs are noise figures and plan is the design of experiments). Is there any difference in the preposition use? Any help much appreciated!!

Discussion

irishpolyglot (asker) Oct 22, 2007:
I believe it is. The whole document is about an experiment to increase the signal-to-noise ratio, but this part of the document goes into the more practical end of it. Just out of curiousity, do you know what "à sec" is in my first note? I might just add another question on it, but it's obviously related to "green" and "fired"... Thanks!!
Tony M Oct 22, 2007:
Can you confirm if this is still referring to ceramic capacitors?
irishpolyglot (asker) Oct 22, 2007:
Just to add another contrast to get a better idea, "en sec" is also mentioned:
...les densités tant à sec qu’à cuit ne l’étaient que par 6 à 7 facteurs (parmi A, B, C, D, G, H, I, J) et avec une variance résiduelle comprise entre 29,8 et 55%...
