French term

cautions d'ordre de la clientèle

French to English Bus/Financial Accounting balance sheet
I'm having a hard time understanding the meaning of this phrase (vacation hangover?). It's a line item under "Consolidated Accounts." It reads simply "Cautions d'ordre de la clientèle."

Selected

customers' security clearing

cautions stands for (providing) securities
Eurodicautom gives "compte d'ordre" for clearing account from which I derive the meaning of "d'ordre" in this context. Hope this helps a little.
