Yes, it's a real mistake.
Karl Albrecht has only one son, Karl Jr., who doesn't work at Aldi.
Karl's younger brother, Theo Albrecht, has 2 sons, Theo Jr. and Berthold, of which the latter doesn't work at Aldi, while Theo Jr. plays a role which is not much important in the management.
So, it should read "Their two children do not work at Aldi."

There is a sentence on this web page, dated Fr, 16.08.2002, saying,
Senior Karl Albrecht hat einen Sohn, den 49 j鋒rigen Karl jun., Bruder Theo die beiden S鰄ne Theo jun. Und Berthold, die beide im Management neben Familienfremden derzeit nur eine Nebenrolle spielen.
(Senior Karl Albrecht has one son, the 49 year old Karl Jr., brother Theo both sons Theo Jr. and Berthold, these both play at the time being a less important role along side of others who do not belong to the family.)

2) 他有3个孩子。 上边说的1 CHILD 指在现存的婚姻中只有一个孩子。此前他还与其他女子生过两个孩子。 一位他俩不算目前的家庭成员， 所以在上边的家庭状况部分， 没把他俩算进去。 也许这是德国人的逻辑。

In English there is a way to handle this:
Cambridge Advanced Learner\'s Dictionary:
sic = a word written in brackets after a word that you have copied to show that you know that it has been spelled or used wrongly. eg The notice outside the cinema said \'Closed on Wedensday\'(sic)
Does Chinese have an equivalent to \'(sic)\'?
or you could footnote it...?
