Re indoor/interior Yes, and the choice of which will depend on how the rest of the text reads. I still don't have a feel for that. "Inside/Indoor/Interior storage spaces" could also be an option. Again, depending on how the text flows. Hope all goes well!
Domini Lucas May 17, 2023:
Re in-house storage @Konstantinos I would definitely avoid "in-house" for the reasons you mentioned. It doesn't apply to homes at all.
Nick Lingris May 17, 2023:
Re: "in-house" storage @Konstantinos: This could be expressed as indoor or interior storage area, but it would then include all rooms, closets or other spaces used for storage.
Domini Lucas May 10, 2023:
loft, storage area, etc. Just wanting to add a UK voice, as it's where I have lived for most of my life. I agree with @transphy that we don't tend to have the same type of storage areas that Greek houses have, especially the older ones that had great πατάρια over bathrooms, in hallways etc. However, I think loft on its own might be confusing nowadays as it's very specific, plus many get converted into rooms with storage areas under the lower part of the roof. cf. also this link https://videnov.gr/products/pataria-ntoylapas. Given the possible variety of contexts I do think storage area covers both. @Konstantinos Is the definition yours, or is that how your text is laid out?

Note from asker:
I was thinking that a good more generic addition could be "in-house storage area" which covers both the cases of having a storage area above the bathroom or closet or elsewhere in the apartment. The only thing is that I have the feeling that in-house is used for company terms (e.g. in-house developers etc.) and not for this case. Does anybody have a "native" feeling on this? Thanks again

loft

Στην Αγγλία δεν κάνουν παταρια πάνω από τα μπάνια τους. Τα κάνουν μέσα στις στεγες τους. Αν αυτό ζητας τότε το λες ' loft'
