An issue is suspected on the Ethernet 1 circuit preventing the GX55 from communicating with the MCX1 controller and therefore causing 3DMC to boot up into simulation mode.
Using a multimeter, ohm the 4 wires for Ethernet 1 between the GX55 connector and the MCX1 controller.

Thanks. Yes, check there is an unhindered connection, so if the resistance is not close to 0, there is a problem.
