The formal name of an organisation including a division is a proprer noun that is never translated, unless the company itself has an accepted and official term for it. Therefore I would simply put in italics the Division Mondiale follwed by a phrase such as "with subsidiaries throughout the world"

Dupont Imagine Dupont SA in Paris, with subsidiaries Dupont Engineering, Dupont Building, Dupont Building International, Dupont Plumbing and Electricity, etc. Dupont Building International has its own subsidiaries, Dupont Polska, Dupont UK, Dupont Kazakh, plus smaller subsidiaries like Taylor Electrical Installation Services, Mansfield, Ltd. "Division" does not necessarily mean "department" but, used "loosely", perhaps, can refer to a subsidiary, be it a single-company subsidiary or a "groupe" in its own right.

subsidiaries Subsidiaries can have subsidiaries under them, so I can't see anything amiss in the sentence. You can have a holding or parent company at the top, with subsids under it and in turn, they can have companies under them, with all manner of possible ownership structures...

No danger here ? Hi JS ! From the look of it, I'd say that the international division owns the mentioned subsidiaries. Of course, we'd have to access formal organisational info to be perfectly sure. But I think the sentence looks non-threatening as it is, and a literal translation will probably be perfectly fine.

Of course, but... Thanks SBIG. I think that your answer makes sense, but I'm a bit unsure about how to turn the sentence around: does the International Division have the mentioned subsidiaries? It seems to me that the Holding Company would be more likely to have the subsidiaries than the International Division. Am I just tired or is there something more to this?
