The primary goal in treating acute ischemic stroke is to restore blood flow to the parts of the brain that have been affected. Several different methods can be used. A “clot-busting” medication can be injected into the patient’s blood in an attempt to dissolve the clot. This needs to be performed within the first few hours from when the stroke occurred and not all patients are eligible for this treatment. Sometimes the clot will dissolve. In strokes that involve a larger clot in a large vessel of the brain, this medication may not be enough to remove the blockage and blood flow would not be restored.
Prevod - srpski Koji je primarni cilj lečenja akutnog ishemičnog moždanog udara?
Ponovno uspostavljanje protoka krvi do onih delova mozga koji su pogođeni predstavlja primarni cilj lečenja akutnog ishemičnog moždanog udara. Može se primeniti nekoliko različitih metoda. Kako bi se pokušalo sa rastvaranjem krvnih ugrušaka, u krvotok pacijenta mogu se ubrizgati lekovi za „razbijanje ugrušaka”. Ovo je neophodno primeniti u prvih nekoliko sati nakon moždanog udara, s tim što svi pacijenti ne ispunjavaju potrebne uslove za ovaj tretman. Ugrušak će se u nekim slučajevima rastvoriti. Kod moždanog udara izazvanog većim ugruškom u velikom krvnom sudu u mozgu, ovi lekovi možda neće biti dovoljni za uklanjanje začepljenja, a samim tim se ni protok krvi ne može ponovno uspostaviti.
