Sorry Phil -posted my idea about taper before reading your entry - we seem to be thinking along the same lines, so maybe we're onto something?

I can't quite visualise what this means - tapering? Like a Toblerone, but bigger at one end?

In some ways, it doesn't really matter what "avec fruit" means, because you could simply say "are regularly or variably triangular in section". But it would be interesting to know.
