It depends on what you call an “online portfolio”. It has not really been necessary. Maybe my website does the job to some degree.

The way things stand at the moment, I'm lucky enough to be able to say that I don't really need any new clients. Perhaps if I was just starting out as a translator and needed to market myself I would consider preparing one, but today it's the least of my priorities.

I have 125 positive reviews from client. I spent a lot of time and effort to get feedback from all my clients since 2010, and I got it.
For every new client, I write it down in my Sticking Notes to get their feedback.
This does not hurt the NDA's, since it is voluntarily provided by the client themselves.
