Hello to all those who are reading, my name is Tyrell Perez, I am a recent graduate in Spanish Studies from York University, of which mostly comprises of Spanish literature, grammar, and linguistics. I began taking translation courses in January of 2018 in hopes to pursue a career in translation. Due to unforeseen circumstances via a school-wide strike, and now the pandemic, my studies have been put on hold until further notice. In 2018, I collaborated in translating for the CALACS website during a span of four months while they were in the midst of updating their website (I translated the section under Foros, the buttons, among others). A classmate of mine worked in administration for CALACS and was recruiting volunteer translators, and I accepted as a means to gain experience as a translator while I was studying translation at the Glendon York University campus. She sent me documents to be translated from English to Spanish until the website was complete.

Outside of school studies, I participate in online language exchanges with various language partners who have since become close personal friends. All of which coming from different backgrounds and levels of English, some of which I provide lessons from from zero, or depending on their level, act as more of a tutor.
