Bio
I am a Spanish, Portuguese and Malay into English translator based in the United Kingdom. I have over four years experience in the industry and can translate between 2000 and 2500 words per day and use Trados Studio 2017 as my CAT tool.

My specialties are:
- legal documents,
- business and financial documents.

Some examples of the types of legal documentsI have translated are documents, which were used as evidence for the police, courts and tribunals, letters between local and foreign law enforcement agencies, and court judgements.

I have a postgraduate degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies which I completed at the University of Manchester. During the course, my major was in the legal field, focusing on translations for international organisations such as the European Union and the United Nations. I also gained the necessary skills to translate general technical documents such as instruction manuals and patents.

During the first semester of my postgraduate degree, I honed my interpreting skills in conference interpreting.

My undergraduate degree was Hispanic Studies (Spanish and Portuguese), which I carried out at the University of Liverpool. During this degree, I completed a one year placement in Spain and some of my responsibilities were to translate newsletters, general correspondence and articles published by my employer from and into Spanish. Whilst living in Spain, I interpreted in police stations and hospitals.

I am also a bilingual Malay and English speaker. I was born in Brunei and lived there for 12 years. I also completed a GCSE O-Level in this language whilst completing the second year of my undergraduate degree. However, for this language combination I only translate into English.

I have worked as a translation project manager for a leading language provider in the Greater Manchester area so please be assured that your documents will not only be translated professionally, but also treated confidentially.
